Speaker Request Process

Prev Next

Purpose

To outline the standardized process for requesting, approving, and coordinating speakers for RISE Activism Days and events.

Scope

This SOP applies to all RISE Leaders requesting funding and speakers for events under TPUSA.

Speaker Request Guidelines for RISE Leaders

Step 1: Submit Grant Request. Complete the Grant Request Form to secure event funding before requesting a speaker.

Step 2: Submit Speaker Request Form. Complete the Speaker Request Form HERE at least eight weeks before the event date. This ensures adequate preparation for your Activism Day. Late submissions may result in denial due to logistical constraints.

Step 3: Staff Review. TPUSA staff will review your request. Approval timelines vary based on speaker availability and response time.

Step 4: Decision Outcome.

If Approved:

TPUSA staff will coordinate for the speaker (where applicable):

  • Flights

  • Hotels

  • Ground transportation

  • Approved food related expenses

If Denied:

You can either

  • request an alternative speaker or

  • arrange for a local speaker to attend your event.
